Keeping Positive During Lockdown 2

Hello, lovelies,

I wanted to check how everyone is feeling with this lockdown 2. Hopefully, it will end on the 2nd December. And we will be able to get back into the salon from the 3rd December and see all you lovely ladies and gents soon xxx

I know going into this lockdown again for the second time is extremely frustrating and challenging, as well as emotionally draining. It is super super hard on lots of us and I'm sending a virtual hug 💞 💞

It's been especially hard for the hospitality/beauty sector, as we've been forced to close this year longer than we've been allowed to open. So obviously that has its stresses financially, emotionally, as well as physically tiring and exhausting.

So I just wanted to share with you some hints and tips and bits that really do help when it comes to your mental health and awareness and reducing your stress levels.

Towards the end of the last lockdown as I mentioned in my last email I started to do the couch to 5K. I'm not a runner, but I really am enjoying getting out in the fresh air and looking at all the beautiful leaves, especially the autumn leaves as they are falling off, but running really has done me the world of good. So anyone who is feeling stressed and overwhelmed and you look at the weather and you say 'oh my gosh it's doom and gloom'... Then I really strongly recommend going for a walk. Even if it's just a walk around your street, and then building up to power walking or even download in the couch to 5k App. It really has helped me!! I'm definitely not a runner, but I feel so much better and my head feels so much clearer and I definitely feel less stressed.

Another thing that I've been doing to help reduce my stress levels is meditating, only takes 10 minutes in the morning (or whenever you're free). I'm not one of these big meditators who can sit cross-legged with the fingers pointing. I do find it hard to switch off and my brain goes to 600 different places during the meditation, but the more days you do it, the easier it gets.

I've also been taking multivitamins now for around three months and I really do think they have helped especially when you're feeling sluggish and you're not quite in your routine and you start eating junk food and not eating as healthy as you should be. So I've been taking some vitamin B 12 oral spray and some women's multivitamin gummies, because I cannot swallow tablets usually the multivitamins coming to you, huge, massive horse like size tablets. So, I've actually found some multivitamin gummies. They are from Holland and Barrett and they really have been helping with brain fog and keeping myself super healthy.

I'm also doing the morning and motivational and the Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. It really does help. I don't do it every day, but that really does help motivate you in the morning.

Over these next few weeks, I am keeping myself busy by working on the business setting up the salon ready for Christmas on taking down my gorgeous autumn leaves and autumn decorations and setting up all the Christmas decorations. I'm also working on extra courses that I've really wanted to do for ages on personal development and mental health and balancing your energy levels.

I'll also be working on some new exciting packages to bring to the salon and looking at some different members of staff to also bring in to the salon.
